Thriller ideas feedback post.

Feedback:

Idea 1 (cannibalism) :

1) To give a clear impression that the woman wants to kill and cook that man, torturing him, I was suggested to make her take a liver out the bowl rather than a heart, and then show him with the bleeding scar on his belly, because the heart on it's own is slightly confusing due to where it came from. This would clarify her intentions towards him and also make the audience realize that it's his liver and he knows what's about to happen.



2) The fact of the whole film being set in 1950s will be quite hard to create so I was suggested to film it in modern time. That's not a problem at all, however, I still want her costume and her kitchen to look quite old-fashioned, no minimalism or high-tech in mise-en-scene, cause I want to create a nice contrast between her looking like a typical housewife and her inner world of a villain.

3) I was also advised to add a shot where the audience can see other men she's killed and parts of their bodies. For example, she opens a fridge to get something, and there we can frozen hands and heads. Or at the very end, camera slides away and shows the extreme long shot of her in the kitchen and there we can see dead bodies cut in the boxes on the floor. However, I think I won't do that, cause the whole idea of the opening sequence is of her killing her husband, which is her first trial of that kind of murder, so, I mean, logically by the plot - her husband will be the first man she wants to murder, so there should not be any other organs in the opening sequence apart from his ones.



Idea 4 (Groundhog Day):

1) Mainly the only feedback I received for this idea was that her multiple deaths become quite comical after the third time and that I should reduce it to two deaths to establish the temporary trap and then finish the sequence by him waking up in the bed for the third time, which would fit in 2 minutes and won't be too long.
